How to play

Ladders & Serpents

A Bible journey for families, classrooms, and youth groups.

  1. Goal. Be the first pilgrim to travel from square 1 up to square 100 — Eternal Life.
  2. On your turn, roll the die and move your piece that many squares.
  3. Land on a 🧰 ladder and a story of faith and obedience carries you up.
  4. Land on a 💀 serpent and a story of turning away slides you back down.
  5. When a story appears, read or summarize it before your piece moves. Answer the discussion question for a bonus talking point.
  6. Reach square 100 to win. Overshooting still gets you there — everyone finishes the journey.

Two ways to view

Single view puts the board and controls on one screen — ideal for a phone, tablet, or computer where players pass the device.

Presenter & Contestant splits the screen: a host console with the story text and a discussion question on one side, and a clean contestant screen on the other. The host rolls, reads aloud, then reveals each story to the players.
