JEOPARDY!

How to Play

The classic game rules — Bible Edition

The Front Game

  • Three players compete (or team up — this version supports up to 6 teams).
  • The board holds six categories, each with five clues rising in value from $200 to $1000.
  • The reigning champion — or a randomly chosen player if there's no champion — selects the first clue.
  • The clue is read in full. Players may only ring in once the clue is finished.

Ringing In & Responding

  • Whoever rings in first has five seconds to respond, phrased in the form of a question ("Who is…?", "What is…?").
  • Improper phrasing isn't valid. The host may prompt for correct phrasing in round one; in round two the player is on their own.
  • A player must be mid-response before time is called, or the answer is ruled incorrect.
  • Correct: the clue's value is added to the player's score.
  • Incorrect: the value is deducted, and any other eligible player may attempt it. Scores can go negative.
  • If no one rings in after three seconds, the clue is thrown out.
  • Whoever answered the last clue correctly selects the next one.

Daily Double

  • One clue hides a Daily Double. The player who finds it wagers part of their score — from $5 up to their full total — on that clue.
  • If their score is below the round's top clue value, they may wager up to that value instead.
  • Only the player who selected it may answer, with 10 seconds once the clue is read.
  • The round continues until all 30 clues are played or time is called.

Double Jeopardy!

  • Played the same way, with a few changes:
  • The third-place player selects first. If tied, the player to the host's left chooses.
  • Clue values are doubled, from $400 to $2000.
  • Two Daily Doubles are hidden on the board.

In this digital version

  • There's no ring-in buzzer — the host runs the board. Tap a clue, read it aloud, then hit Reveal Answer.
  • Tap to award points to the team that answered, or to deduct — scores update automatically.
  • After all clues are played, the game moves to Final Jeopardy: teams wager, the clue is revealed, and you mark each correct or incorrect.
